(1) The function of frequency doubling is to improve the pulse resolution, that is, the pulse signal output by the encoder is multiplied so that each pulse represents a smaller amount of displacement, thereby improving the processing accuracy.

(2) The table has moved 5 mm, while the speed of the servo motor is 500r/min.
