CNC EDM punching machine adopts the difference between servo motor and stepper motor
The difference between stepper motor and servo motor is as follows:
1. Stepper motor and stepper servo motor are mainly used for precise positioning occasions, and can also be used for speed regulation applications. However, stepper motors are generally not used for power due to low efficiency; At the same time, there is a certain torque ripple, and it is not recommended for torque control. On the contrary, the stepper servo motor can do torque control, and can also be considered to replace the frequency conversion drive as power.
2. Stepper motor is prone to low-frequency vibration at low speed. The vibration frequency is related to the load situation and drive performance, and it is generally believed that the vibration frequency is half of the no-load starting frequency of the motor. When working at low speed, a drive with a subdivision function is generally used or replaced with a stepper motor with a smaller step angle; Or use damping technology to overcome low-frequency vibration phenomena.
The stepper servo motor runs very smoothly and does not vibrate even at low speeds. The servo system has a resonance suppression function, which can cover the rigidity of the machine, and can detect the resonance point of the machine, which is convenient for system adjustment.
3. Stepper servo motor for speed regulation application compared with frequency conversion speed regulation also has the advantage of short acceleration and deceleration time, usually can achieve tens of milliseconds to reach the expected speed, speed regulation range is wider; In the application of speed regulation and torque control, analog voltage signals are recommended for control signals.
