First of all, it is necessary to clarify what the fault is, and different faults have different causes and corresponding solutions.
Digital drives such as NDM872 now indicate a fault code through a fault LED, as follows:
First, the fault indicator flashes 1 time, and the driver reports an overcurrent fault, the cause:
1. The wiring of the motor is incorrect, especially when connecting the 8-wire motor, the wiring of the end of the same name is not correct, and the wiring needs to be adjusted;
2. Short circuit of motor winding, this situation occurs after the driver and motor application for a period of time, the main reason is that the output current of the driver does not match the rated current of the motor, or the working environment temperature of the motor is too high, resulting in the motor winding damage short circuit, this situation needs to replace the motor;
3. The internal circuit of the drive is damaged, in this case, the drive needs to be replaced;
Second, the fault indicator flashes 2 times the driver reports overvoltage fault, the cause: the internal bus voltage of the driver exceeds the maximum limit value of the driver, the general nominal working voltage of the driver, refers to the voltage range allowed by the internal bus of the driver, does not refer to the power supply voltage range, the use of a certain safety margin, especially when using linear power supply, the user needs to consider the grid voltage fluctuation, linear power supply no-load change rate, and the driver drive voltage high-speed operation emergency stop generated bus voltage pump rise, etc.
This situation can be solved by a suitable supply voltage. For example, the working voltage range of NDM442 is 20~50VDC, and the recommended power supply voltage is 24VDC/36VDC.
Third, the fault indicator flashes 4 times to report the motor phase loss fault, the cause: the motor winding wiring is loose or the motor phase wiring is wrong, and the motor wiring can be solved.
