The difference between four-axis robots and six-axis robots is mainly as follows:

Movement mode: The movement mode of the four-axis robot is to move horizontally up and down, left and right. The movement mode of the six-axis robot is relatively flexible, basically no dead angle, and can be used in most occasions.
Application limitations: Four-axis robots are usually used in punching automation transformation or CNC loading and unloading applications such as loading and unloading applications without sideturning actions due to their relatively simple structure and faster running speed than six-axis.

Due to its characteristics, six-axis robots can usually be completed in the field of automation transformation, such as spraying, loading and unloading, welding, handling, assembly and other automated applications.
