The link between the PLC and the servo motor is carried out in the following ways:
1. Through the I/O point, the start/stop signal is sent to the server, and the servo controls the operation of the servo motor.
2. Through the pulse, the number of pulses is sent to control the operation and positioning of the servo motor.
3. Through communication, the PLC and the server are networked, and the server is controlled and the servo motor is driven through network communication.
PLC and servo motor connection:
1. PLC directly controls servo motor: This way is usually used for simple motion control systems, in this case, the digital output port of PLC can be directly connected to the control input of the servo motor controller.
2. PLC controls servo motor through motion control card: In more complex motion control systems, PLC and motion control cards are usually used to control servo motors.
The instructions issued by the PLC will be transmitted to the motion control card for processing, and then the processed instructions will be sent to the servo motor controller to control the movement of the servo motor.
In this case, the PLC needs to communicate with the motion control card through an interface.
